Experience
I have tutored students 1:1 and in group settings in English, Reading Comprehension, General math, Social Studies, Writing and ESL at various points during the last 10+ years. Ages range from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I have also assisted high school students with college essay writing, college application consulting, and SAT prep. SAT score in High School, 1380/1600. AP History: 4. SAT Writing 2: 730. I want to tutor to help students feel more confident and comfortable in the learning environment. I love helping students express themselves through writing, whether it is creative or formulaic essays. I also have a heart for those who may struggle with learning disabilities or those whose dominant language is not English. I have worked as summer day camp counselor for 5 years, as a Resident Assistant in college for 3 years, and often find myself in roles demanding coordination of activities. As an extrovert, I love getting to know and learn about people from different backgrounds.
